We can supply a full range of Clay Graphite and Silicon Carbide Crucibles which are now used extensively in the Gold Mining and Foundry industries. Foundry Crucibles are used for bronze, steel, cast iron, aluminium and copper based alloys or in the Mining Industry for molten gold.

We manufacture a unique product – RTZ Washcoat – used extensively to extend crucible life, protect refractory from chemical erosion and acts as a releasing agent on gold moulds.
RTZ is also used on ceramic fibre to contain airborne particles, and as a heat reflector thus making the heating process more efficient and safer.

Our Crucibles give Longer Life, Faster Melting, Consistent Melting and Exceptional Resistance to violent Changes of Temperature.
Various shapes and sizes are available ex stock in sizes 20, 30, 40, 50 and 65 gram suitable for the multi loading systems. Special designs can be produced to meet individual specifications. Crucibles will be packaged in wooden crates or cardboard cartons ready for export.

RTZ Washcoat
RTZ WASHCOAT : A zircon based refractory coating widely used throughout the mining, foundry and engineering industries, in refractory situations where extended life and added protection is desired.
Crucibles : Crucible erosion can be greatly reduced by evenly coating the inside and outside of each crucible with RTZ Washcoat prior to use. RTZ Washcoat assists in preventing Black Spot i.e. Carbon Pick up from Clay Graphite crucibles thus preventing staining on gold bars.
Furnaces: RTZ Washcoat protects and increases the life of insulation materials in furnaces. Brickwork can also be protected from chemical and slag attack by brushing on RTZ.
Moulds: Because of its non-stick properties, RTZ Washcoat works exceptionally well as a releasing agent on gold moulds. Gold bars slip out easily, requiring little cleaning.
